When baking cakes what is the best way to line the baking tray?

Hi, when baking cakes what is the best way to line the baking tray? Because I’ve tried all sorts but i just wanted to know the best way.

I butter the cake pan generously, using my fingers to ensure complete coverage. Then, I coat the pan with flour and shake out the extra flour. Finally, the step that should not be missed, put the coated pan in the freezer or refrigerator to keep that butter coating cold, cold. Don’t pull out the pan until you’re ready to fill it with the batter.
Allow the baked good to cool 5 to 10 minutes, then it will pop right out of the pan. I don’t care what others say about butter. It’s the best ingredient for greasing pans. It never fails me.
